In 2020, after completing a big move from Texas to Indiana, the world was suddenly thrust into a pandemic. As a military family, we have always homeschooled our children and I watched as my friends and family were forced into this new version of education. I started Happier Homeschooling as a way to help educate and support all these new and reluctant homeschoolers.

When the world started to return to normal, I began looking for a career that would help me find my identity outside of how I support my family. As a leader of a recovery ministry, I looked at my volunteer work and realized I was already doing the work of a virtual assistant. And thus, Blackwell Media Solutions was born. The goal is to help entrepreneurs get back to the passion of their business by handling backend tasks so the business owner can stay focused on their money making tasks.

Fast forward to 2023 and another cross-country move for my husband’s career, I found myself missing the volunteer, recovery-based work I had been doing and decided to launch an online community, Unpacking Us, to help individuals unpack all the pain and questions we stuff deep inside. Through unpacking, we strive to develop healthy relationships and live the full, free lives we were born to live.

We are not just one thing and Blackwell Media Solutions exists as not only the digital solution to life’s problems, but as the example that we don’t have to choose. We really can be ‘And’ people.
